Volunteers Needed for the May 6, 2012 Race for Hope to Cure Brain Tumors!

Mark your calendar!

Volunteers are needed for the Sunday, May 6, 2012 Race for Hope, a 5K Walk/Run to find a cure for brain tumors. Volunteers are needed for a minimum of two hours, or for the entire race. Last year dedicated volunteers helped us raise $2.5 million in the fight against brain tumors.

Volunteers are needed anytime between 6:00 a.m. and noon; possible assignments include race set up, registration and t-shirt distribution, course monitoring, water station, food and beverage; finish line; Metro greeters, and clean up. We'd love to have both individuals and groups such as Boy and Girl Scout troops, schools, or alumni groups help out. If you know someone who has been affected by a brain tumor, this is a great way to help support them in our efforts to find a cure.

The Race begins and ends at Freedom Plaza , which is between 13th and 14th Streets at Pennsylvania Avenue; very close to the Federal Triangle and Metro Center stations. This race is a really fun event and you will know you are a part of a very special day for all of those who are searching for a cure for brain tumors!
You can register to volunteer by going to this link http://www.braintumorcommunity.org/site/PageServer?pagename=RFH_DC_Volunteer or just send a message for more information.
