If you live in the D.C. Metro area, come join EarthShare and The Anacostia Watershed Society (AWS) as we celebrate the 18th Annual Earth Day River Cleanup on Saturday, April 21st, 2012!
Last year, more than 2,000 volunteers helped remove more than 42 tons of trash from the river! We need you!
EarthShare is sponsoring the Kingman Island site in NE DC, but there
are more than 50 sites throughout MD, DC & VA where you can get
involved and make a difference! Cleanups will be 9:00am - 12:00pm at all sites throughout the watershed.
Or RSVP today for the Kingman Island Cleanup - Email beth@earthshare.org or, call Beth at 240.333.0318
Cleanup Time: 8:30am-11:30am
Celebration Time: 12:00pm - 2:00pm
Our location is Kingman Island (http://www.kingmanisland.org/?page_id=13) . The celebration, which entails lunch, music, vendors, etc is at the same spot.
