Interested in art? The High School Summer Institute is for you!
  • Explore the museum's collection and exhibitions
  • Connect with a variety of museum professionals
  • Create a work of art for public display
  • Learn and work with other teens
Weekdays, June 18–29
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Participants receive a $250 stipend and earn 20 hours of community service credits
To Be Eligible, You Must Be
  • Interested in studio art or art history
  • Entering grade 10, 11, 12, or be a 2012 graduate of a high school located in the metropolitan Washington region
  • Able to attend all sessions of the program
To Apply
Print out and complete the three-part application form.
Applications must be postmarked by April 13, 2012.
Interviews will take place in late April at the National Gallery for select candidates.
