Free Veggie and Flower Seeds Available from America the Beautiful Fund! 

 

Volunteer at the America the Beautiful Fund seed warehouse and take home all the veggie and flower seeds you could ever want! If you or your group are interested in volunteering at least 4 hours during the week or weekend helping us to sort seed packets, please contact Katie at katie@america-the-beautiful.org to set up a day! No skill required, everyone 10 and over welcome!

High School Summer Institute 2012 Description Interested in art? The High School Summer Institute is for you! Explore the museum's collection and exhibitions Connect with a variety of museum professionals Create a work of art for public display Learn and work with other teens Weekdays, June 18–29 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Participants receive a $250 stipend and earn 20 hours of community service credits To Be Eligible, You Must Be Interested in studio art or art history Entering grade 10, 11, 12, or be a 2012 graduate of a high school located in the metropolitan Washington region Able to attend all sessions of the program To Apply Print out and complete the three-part application form. Applications must be postmarked by April 13, 2012. Interviews will take place in late April at the National Gallery for select candidates. Questions?
